The Jeanette Williams Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created to help in the research to find a cure for children's cancer.

Establishing a foundation for children's cancer research has been a lifelong dream of Dianne Troop, founder of the Jeanette Williams Foundation, and that dream has now come to fruition. The goal and purpose of the foundation is to raise funds that would go toward children's cancer research. This disease takes too many lives, especially the lives of children. After many years of participation in various philanthropies involved in helping treat and cure this disease, it became apparent to Troop to work for the children in a more hands-on way.

Beginning with the death of her mother, Jeanette Williams, when Troop was 12-years-old, cancer took nine of her family members, including both parents and all four grandparents.

Her mother battled cancer for three years before her death. Troop went to live with her grandparents, and one year after the death of her mother, she lost her grandmother.

A large portion of Troop's adolescence was spent at the hospital with family members. During those days, the nurses would take her to visit the children's ward to play with children her own age. Early on, she recognized the plight of young children facing long infirmary confinements; she realized many of these children would never have a life outside the hospital walls. When Troop reflected on that experience, she realized it was the pivotal point that determined her mission in life; she decided to do all she could to make children's lives better. During the past seven years she has worked for, and with, children, experiencing many wonderful success stories.

We thank you for your support and may God bless and keep you in good health.
